Introducing Polo Ralph Lauren x TÓPA, the newest collaboration of the Ralph Lauren Artist in Residence program, reflecting our evolved design approach with the artisans and communities that inspire us. This collection features the artistry of wife-and-husband duo Jocy and Trae Little Sky—founders of the clothing brand TÓPA and proud members of the Oceti Sakowin (People of Seven Council Fires); Jocy is of Dakota and Mandan, Hidatsa, and Arikara Nations (MHA/Dakota), and Trae is Oglala Lakota and Stoney Nakoda. Their creations merge modern silhouettes with distinctive Indigenous cultural elements to honor and preserve ancestral traditions while reflecting the beauty and vibrancy of their Northern Plains heritage. The name TÓPA, meaning “four” in the languages of the Oceti Sakowin, symbolizes the four directions, four seasons, four stages of life, and four meaningful colors. Inspired by an heirloom from Jocy’s grandmother, this turtleneck sweater carries deep meaning through its overall composition, signifying symmetry and harmonious balance. Intarsia-knit with thick-gauge wool and cashmere yarns, its centerpiece is a star that honors the sacred four directions, and it’s bordered by patterns depicting clouds, mountains, animals, and stars, which reflect the deep connection between earth and sky. In this thoughtful interpretation, each motif contributes to a story of place and direction.
- Relaxed, slightly cropped fit. Intended to hit at the high hip.
- Size medium has a 21.75" body length and a 20.5" sleeve length. Body length is taken from the high point of the shoulder.
- Rib-knit turtleneck. Long sleeves with rib-knit cuffs. Rib-knit hem.
- Four-directional star motif at the center front. Contrast border motif along the sleeves, back of the neck, and above the hem.
- Body: 99% wool, 1% cashmere. Hand wash or dry clean. Imported.
